About Dr. Sushruth J
Dr. Sushruth J is a Consultant Orthopedic Spine Surgeon with advanced training in the comprehensive diagnosis and management of spinal disorders. He completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI), followed by an MS in Orthopedics from Ramaiah Medical College. He further specialized in spine surgery by completing the Rajiv Gandhi University-affiliated Fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopedics (SGITO), Bengaluru.
Dr. Sushruth is currently working as an Associate Consultant in the Department of Spine Surgery at Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, where he is actively involved in the management of complex spinal disorders using both advanced minimally invasive and conventional surgical techniques. As part of a dedicated spine team, he works closely with senior spine surgeon Dr. Pramod K. Sudarshan, contributing to the care of patients with a broad spectrum of simple and complex spinal conditions through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
Committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care, Dr. Sushruth focuses on achieving optimal functional outcomes while improving the quality of life of his patients. His expertise encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of spinal conditions, including neck and back pain, cervical and lumbar disc prolapse (slipped disc), sciatica, spinal stenosis, degenerative spine diseases, spinal infections, spinal fractures, and spinal deformities.
He is proficient in both conservative (non-surgical) treatment and advanced Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS), offering individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s condition and functional needs. His philosophy is to recommend surgery only when clinically indicated, while ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, comprehensive, and personalized spine care aimed at restoring mobility, relieving pain, and improving overall quality of life.
